April 17th, 2014 - Met with Gateway Woods Agency in Leo, IN to begin paperwork for our home study. We also paid half of our fee with them. Once we complete the paperwork, which won't take long, we will set a date for the home study.
May 10th, 2014 - Carrington Family Adoption Benefit held at Crystal Valley Missionary Church from 4-7 pm; Haystack dinner and Raffle
May 14th, 2014 - Mailed final documents needed to move forward with our home study. ALSO sent Business Agreement to ABI with our first payment using funds from our recent fundraiser!!!! MOVING FORWARD!!!!!
May 29, 2014 - Home Study Visit complete
May 30th & 31st - Fundraiser Garage Sale at our place; collecting items from whoever wants to donate. All profits go to our adoption fund.
September - Our USCIS application was mailed and received. We await for directions to be fingerprinted. We will also continue to compile the copies of necessary documents. ALL have been obtained now, we just need to copy and prepare to mail.
Our fingerprints were taken but we received a pink notice in regards to our home study not containing enough or accurate information. That has been fixed and we are awaiting it's arrival now.
Monday, November 10th - received our USCIS approval; mailed all documents Wednesday and they were received by our agency on Friday
November 22nd - 'Meant To Be' 5K Walk/Run & More ---HUGE SUCCESS!!!---
December 15th - Dossier complete
January 2015 - Receive word that our dossier will not be sent to Haiti until April-June of 2016
August 18, 2015 - receive email with receipt from IBESR, our dossier is in Haiti...8 months earlier than expected
August 8, 2018 - received letter requesting payment from IBESR; this means they are working on a match for our family
August 27, 2018 - WE GOT THE CALL!!! Received our match!
September 26, 2018 - Fly to Haiti for socialization trip
September 27, 2018 - We met our little girl! Such joy!
